About the Demo

This demo will show how painting quickly with accuracy and intention will capture the energy and color of flowers without overworking the canvas. By focusing on big shapes, loose brushwork and minimal detail, you can complete a vibrant impressionistic painting in 60 minutes or less.

Artist Statement

Art has been a lifelong passion, with drawing and painting at the heart of everything I do. I work almost exclusively from life, finding ordinary people, places, and everyday objects to be the most compelling and rewarding subjects. My preferred choice of medium is oil, but I also enjoy painting in gouache, and pastel, and charcoal for drawing.

I was fortunate to grow up with artistic parents who nurtured my creativity and shared their love of the fine arts. My father, a successful illustrator, taught me the fundamentals of drawing and painting, providing the foundation for my artistic career. Just as he generously shared his knowledge with me, I find great fulfillment in passing along what I have learned throughout my own artistic journey. Teaching, mentoring, and sharing both my process and my artwork are among the most rewarding aspects of my career.
