Daniel Smith Watercolor Demo 1-3 PM

  • Tampa Regional Artists 705 West Swann Avenue Tampa, FL, 33606 United States (map)

Join us for a fun and interesting conversation with Scott Stevenson, Brand Ambassador for DANIEL SMITH Manufacturing. Scott has had the privilege to be in the industry for over 20 years working with some of the most well-known manufacturers in art materials. In his free time enjoys watercolor, wine, music and travel. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area in California with his wife Traci.

Do you have questions about DANIEL SMITH or with watercolor paint in general? Have questions about Quinacridone pigments?  Wonder where the color Serpentine comes from? How does the color Moonglow get its name. How does DANIEL SMITH test pigments for lightfastness? What’s granulation? This is a great opportunity to ask questions in a conversational and relaxed atmosphere.

The presentation will start off with the history of DANIEL SMITH Manufacturing and the many aspects of developing DANIEL SMITH products. You will see firsthand lab paint outs, see and touch the minerals used to manufacture the colors in the PrimaTek line and more.  The finale...the exciting opportunity to sample a selection of our colors and put paint to paper!!!

PARTICIPATION IN THIS DEMONSTRATION WILL BE LIMITED TO 16 PARTICIPANTS FOR EACH SESSION. THERE ARE 2 SESSIONS; THE FIRST WILL BE 10-NOON AND THE SECOND WILL BE 1-3 PM. PLEASE BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR THE TIME YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE. IF YOU MUST CANCEL, PLEASE DO SO WITHING 48 HOURS SO THAT SOMEONE ON THE WAITLIST CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE.
