About the Artist:
Mother, artist, retired school teacher, and crazy cat lady. Photography, printmaking, journaling, carver, making cards, and quilting are just some of the things that keep me busy. I love to explore the new materials as they come out. 35 years in the public classroom as a teacher, teaching Art, Computer Science, and English. I have been with TRA over 7 years and enjoy the artists that are members there.
About the Workshop:
This workshop is to help the artist start the New Year with some new ideas. Come and try new ways to get exciting backgrounds, using inks, acrylics and even oils. Try adding pens, colored pencils and markers, in your pieces to add interest and emphasis in your work. We will be using college materials and stencils both bought and hand made stencils. We will be masking out areas, using many different materials. We will be using natural materials to do some of the masking, plant life, flowers, and weeds (one of my preferred materials).
