About the Artist, Gina Stark:
Creating art and crafting was a daily part of my childhood. My Nana was a gifted crafter who taught me how to sew and do other useful crafts as a small child. My mother was a painter and always had projects in process in our home. These two early influences planted the seed for my love of the arts.
After several years focusing on portraiture and folk art, I decided to start exploring other art medias and disciplines. My most recent adventures in art involve working in graphite, colored pencil, linoleum block, and most recently, experimenting with abstract color via textile art, Inks and fluid acrylic abstract techniques.
Gina Studied at Hillsborough Community College in the fine arts program and Tampa College where she earned a commercial art degree.
She continued her studies though workshops with a variety of well respected artist including portrait artist June Allard-Berte’ and internationally known pop artist Robert Burridge.
