Lindsey Simonds Workshop: Painting the Rhythms of the Coast: Coastal Motifs with Litore Studio

  • Old Hyde Park Art Center 705 West Swann Avenue Tampa, FL, 33606 United States (map)

About the Workshop:

The workshop will walk students through the creation of a coastal motif, either painting one selected by the artist or one that is of the student’s own design, if preferred.

Artist Statement:

Drawing on her love of our state’s natual coaslines, flora, and fauna, watercolor and gouache artist Lindsey Simonds captures the beauty and rhythms of the coastal South through whimsical motifs. As a self-taught artist with a background in Anthropology, Lindsey’s art is intended to show the interconnectivity of everything in nature, and represent the deep connection and love we have to and for the coast. Lindsey lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with her husband, Luke, Otis the dog and Nicholas the cat. When not painting, Lindsey can be found looking for shells on Little Gasparilla Island, fishing in Boca Ciega Bay, or hiking in wild Florida. Learn more about at https://LitoreStudio.com
