About the Artist:

In 2013, Gyasi Ottley graduated from the Art Institute of Washington, armed with a portfolio that seamlessly blended animation shorts with traditional masterpieces. His journey into animation began in college, a stark contrast to his early interest in the art form from a young age. Even as a child, Gyasi was drawn to drawing and cartoons, nurturing a latent passion for animation.

It wasn't until college that he delved into animation practice, sparked by his exposure to creators on newgrounds.com who were crafting animations using Adobe Flash. His first animation class in college served as the catalyst, propelling him into the world of animation.

A pivotal juncture arrived when his mother catalyzed his exploration of abstract art. Overcoming a creative impasse while designing a pair of jeans, Gyasi transitioned into the realm of abstraction under his mother's guidance. This newfound direction converged with his fascination for the abstract works born from a 2D design class, catalyzing a transformation that would define his distinctive style
